Not happy. I had an early Sunday morning flight. Called 2 days in advance to determine if reservation was need and whether to call night before or morning of. Dispatcher said cab would come within 15 minutes of call. So I called 25 minutes ahead of desired pickup time on Sunday morning Dispatcher said I would get a call back when cab it available. I reminded him of what other dispatcher had said about the 15 minute response time. Sunday morning dispatcher said he is not responsible for what other one said! Call back came in 5 minutes from cab itself. He seemed woefully unfamiliar with Dearborn area, so I had to stay on the phone with him with detailed instructions. He missed the turnoff the main road into my neighborhood 2 times, while I am on the phone. I finally walked to the main road from my house to give him pointed directions to my house to get my luggage too.
Finally on my way to the airport, and he had not turned on the meter. I asked him to turn it on, but he refused say I can pay "whatever is fair." Upon arrival at the airport, I asked him how much, and he gave a figure about 60% higher than what was quoted by other companies. I offered him the average of the quotes, which he accepted, but I did not like him trying to screw me.
If I did not have TSA pre-check, I would have missed the flight. As it was, I was the last person to board the plane at the gate!
I took the cab to avoid driving and parking, but it looks like that's what it will be from now on.
